You know that a cold air intake serves the purpose of moving the air filter outside of the engine compartment and away from unnecessary heat thus it allows cooler air and more oxygen into your car’s combustion chamber and as a consequence your car has more power. But not all cold air intakes are created equal so we want to introduce you to the JLT PERFORMANCE cold air intake, which we are happy to say is made right here in the USA. JLT PERFORMANCE was founded in 2004 and is located in Chesapeake, Virginia where they manufacture not only primo cold air intakes but impressive oil separators for late model Mustangs, Camaros, Mopars and Ford Trucks.

And best of all the JLT intakes are a direct replacement on the 1996-2004 Mustangs, 1997-2003, 2015-2917 Ford trucks and 2005-2018 Mopar cars that will require no tuning. But no worries if you have a 2005 and newer Ford or Camaro because JLT has complete packages with tuners and custom tunes so you can install it all at home in less than one hour. Another thing to consider is the fact that JLT uses only the highest quality S&B reusable filter to afford you maximum filtration. You won’t find any choke points nor will there be any accordion style bends resulting in a minimum of restriction with these air intakes and because the JLT intakes only draw air from outside the engine bay your car’s engine gets maximum air density which should improve mileage under almost all driving conditions.

JLT PERFORMANCE didn’t stop with cold air intakes for you Ford, Mopar or GM Vehicle but knew that some of you who notice oil residue where the PCV Valve connects to the intake manifold would benefit from an Oil Separator so they went to work on developing that as well. JLT is cognizant of the fact that crankcase pressure can track large amounts of oil on your car’s blower rotors, intake valves and intercooler fins so they developed a uniquely designed oil separator that filters and separates the oil in the vapor so that is deposited into a catch can rather than in your car’s intake system.

The first part of the JLT filtering system is a very fine mesh stainless steel screen that is able to trap fine oil vapors then they pass this through a one half inch thick, one sixteenth inch aluminum honeycomb filter thus causing the oil to be so heavy it cannot be passed on into the intake. Although the oils separator will work on any engine JLT looked out for their Ford, Mopar and GM customers in particular by designing a plug and play set up that will work on most applications with PCV lines already attached so installation should only take about a minute..
